PROPERTY DESCRIPTION & LOCATION: The J Diamond consists of 200 deeded acres and has a 40-acre BLM grazing lease. Pole Creek flows through the property for over a mile. The ranch is in northwestern Wyoming just south of the Bridger National Forest, 3 miles from the Bridger Wilderness Area and next to the Wind River and Gros Ventre Mountain ranges. It is 11 miles north and east of Pinedale, a community of 1200 people in Sublette County, Wyoming and 65 miles from Jackson Hole.
Pole Creek is truly a premiere fly-fishing steam. While rushing along the property, it widens and narrows from 50 to 150 feet and has numerous deep holes for the fish to lie - or for a great swimming hole! There is excellent potential to foster trout ponds and holding facilities. In addition, the ranch holds the first rights on Pole Creek for the irrigation water on over 70 acres of hay meadow. The property is located in a bowl of the Wind River Mountains, surrounded by dazzling mountain vistas and breathtaking scenery. The trail out the back gate takes you right into the heart of National Forest and a 20-mile pack trip takes you to dozens of mountain lakes with the best trout fishing in the world!
